Who is Ed Tech?
Ed Tech isn't a real person. Well, surely there is someone on the planet named Ed Tech, but he isn't responsible for this blog. It's actually the work of Valerie Hecht. Who is she, you may wonder? Valerie is a Computer Literacy Teacher/Trainer. She's been doing this dual-purpose job for over a decade. Teaching elementary students how to use technology and teaching elementary teachers how to use technology is a challenge. The kids love technology but don't know all the benefits and possibilities. The teachers know the benefits and possibilities, but don't quite have a love for it. So while the two hats are similar in one way, they are rather different in another. Ed Tech Talks is really all about those hats and how to get them to fit better on those heads.
